My Story

I believe in love and the power of community and the sharing of our stories and being inspired by each other.
I believe in abundance and expansiveness and the healing power of art.

Once upon a time, I was a teacher in a fabulous preschool. I held tiny hands and huge hearts and it was magical, challenging and so rewarding. My husband and I discovered I was pregnant with our first child - life was happening and it was all so exciting! And then, when our daughter was about 18months old, I lost my health and entered into a world of chronic migraine and adrenal fatigue…for days…and then weeks…and then months... and then years. It was a journey. Finally, bit by bit, there was less pain and more joy. There was healing and possibility. There was another chance to be in the world in a healthy way, a more integrated way, a soulful and honest way.
So many things helped me heal;
making art and jewelry were (and still are) two of my favorites.
I found a secret place inside myself; there were little fluttering wings and a strong desire to SHINE. I embraced my migraines and scars and mistakes and I welcomed all of me to show up and create. And I did. I birthed my second child, I chose the artistic, creative process again and again and I leaned towards my true self. I started Creative Migraine Wellness, LLC and I dove into helping people heal from chronic migraine. And then, we lost our home in the Marshall fire. And again, I turned towards art making as an avenue to heal. After two years of hard work and relocating 5 times, we've finally finished rebuilding our home and are happily settling in! I am so full of gratitude: for my healthy pain-free days, for my incredible children & my husband and so many more little sparkles of joy in the world.
